That's pretty ridiculous. As the veteran player alludes to, it sort of goes against the ethos of the sport. For me, a big part of the appeal is that it's so idiosyncratic and ancient, and reducing it to player stats kinda ruins it...

Maybe they should try to get a leg up by buying some high-tech computerized Scottish curling brooms (found via Slate).
