Chicago
Alex and Alissa moved to Chicago at the end of last summer. I made a quick visit this past weekend -- good to catch up, and nice to see a bit of the city, since I haven't spent much time there. We did some of the typical tourist things, and ate at a very trendy (and very good) restaurant. (There was both pigeon and wild boar, but I must say the gruyere-filled doughnuts with fig jam and honey were particularly notable.)
I put up a few pictures on Flickr (but none of doughnuts).

If there are no low-profile photos of food, you can't make me believe that you took these pictures.
I agree with LJ. The wave tank photo almost feels like it was taken by Teague. But I worry that you've handed your camera over to Georgia O'Keeffe for the weekend. I need a donut photo to be reassured.
You must understand, these doughnuts were fresh (not in the Fresh Prince sense, but in the Fresh Doughnuts sense). Despite my love of taking pictures of them, when life drops a warm gruyere-filled doughnut in front of you, you don't wait for it to get cold.
