Famous hair care

I was out in Vienna, VA this weekend (purchasing something exciting that I will discuss later), and I saw this establishment. I bet there were a lot of people stopping to take pictures back in late 2007...and probably a few wags stepping to ask if $500 was the rate for a haircut.

I love that it's "Hair Design." It's like "Lynette's Hair Concepts" in S Mpls. Driving along the same street (I think 38th), you see several interestingly-named hair salons, which lead H and I to imagine a whole progression: first Lynette envisions the concept for your hair, then John Edwards creates a design based on the concept, and then so-and-so would implement the design, etc etc. Like the scene in Annie Hall: "At the moment it's just a Notion, but with a bit of backing I think I could turn it into a Concept, and then an Idea. Heh, yeah. I'm thinking of opening "Teague's Hair Theory"...

My friend correctly identified John Edwards from the back based on his haircut here at a women's basketball game a couple years ago. He was sitting 4-5 rows below us. (Edwards was head of the poverty research center here at the time, before the last election.)

I guess in his case, the hair design worked.
