Map

Check out this map thing I got that plots where the visits to my blog come from. A thumbnail version of it is now perched a the bottom of my righthand navigation links. The map on Raja's blog (where I found out about this) is a lot more impressive. He's got readers on multiple obscure Pacific Islands...

Hey, where's San Francisco? :(

I refreshed my browser a few dozen times to see if it added some hits to your page. Maybe I can even make it to be a big dot!

The map is cool, but it does update at an annoyingly slow pace. If you read their update frequency FAQ, it turns out that you must get a certain percentage (10-20%) of hits beyond what you have now before the map -- or even the hit figures, apparently -- gets updated again. So I guess after you've had it for a while it takes a long time to update.

As a side note, their little logo thing that appears in the address bar looks very similar to Carleton's.

Whoa, totally right about the logo! Although Carleton's saturation, contrast, font, and alignment is much more pleasant. And I'm not just biased, really.

PS. I made it on the map! woohoo!
