You've got to be kidding

Tom DeLay has started a blog! No, I'm not kidding.
It is a regrettable fact of the current American political age that too many Republicans have failed to continue an aggressive fight for the principles which bring us together as Republicans and as conservatives.

Really, Tom? Pardon me while my head explodes.

Wow.

Note his comments on why he has a blog: "The importance of the blogosphere in shaping and motivating the current conservative movement is unquestionable- [sic] not only has it served as an important tool in breaking through the liberal MSM clutter. . . ."

There's something particularly galling about the guy who used to run Washington trying to take the underdog position of fighting the "MSM." Then again, perhaps if it weren't for the MSM taking note of his deeds, he would still have other ways to fill his days than blog-writing.

Yeah, it reaches stratospheric levels of irony to have Tom DeLay appealing to the better principles of the Republican party or claiming an underdog position on anything. He owns what's wrong with DC today perhaps more than anyone, IMHO. He certainly made the most conscious effort of anyone to lay waste to principles of good governance and political ideals.
